Established in 1939, the North Shore Riding Club is a not-for-profit, members-only riding club dedicated to providing a welcoming space for equestrians. Our extensive amenities and grazing facilities cater to riders of all disciplines, fostering a friendly and supportive community for people to enjoy their horses.

Social
With over 100 members, there's always something to get involved in at the Club. Frequent social events, fun riding activities and clinics are held throughout the year for all members.

Arenas
We have three arenas. A 60x20 dressage arena with lights, an adjoining 40x20 dressage arena and a 50x70 show jumping arena. For a small fee an arena can be booked, though if you're happy to share you can use them any time.

Extensive Riding Options
Enjoy riding through our network of bush trails and paddocks during the drier months. Our internal road network provides great riding year-round.

Stables and Pens
Stables and grass pens are available for all members to use if they have a sick or injured horse. Horses must be tended by their owner daily, including provision of hay and mucking out.

Herd Grazing
Grazers own & care for their own horses. Herds have up to 12 horses and rotate throughout all paddocks within either the front or back valley.

Other Amenities
Other amenities include covered sheds for shoeing, grooming & clipping, wash bays, yards, grass schooling area, cowboy challenge playground, float/truck parking, toilets & clubrooms.
About Us
Our Club is a welcoming and supportive community dedicated to providing quality riding and grazing facilities. As a not-for-profit Incorporated Society, we are proud to own approximately 230 acres of land in Redvale, Auckland. Our land includes well-maintained riding areas, grazing paddocks, and covenanted native bush. Our members have year-round access to 20m x 40m and 20m x 60m dressage arenas, a 50m x 70m showjumping arena and 2km of internal roads for riding. Cross country jumps, paddock and bush trails are available for riding in summer.
Our Club is managed by a dedicated team of twelve volunteer officers who are elected annually at our AGM, alongside an independent farm contractor who takes care of the day-to-day maintenance of the property. We also have many passionate club volunteers that contribute to the maintenance of our wonderful grounds. Attendance at working bees is expected. The Club membership fosters a strong sense of community, with our members ranging from all over Auckland, all ages and all disciplines of riding. We welcome all new members wishing to join the club and enjoy our supportive and fun environment.
